SYF

aiyoh.... nice try.. PJ and NYJ.... dun be too dissappointed hahaz.... concentrate on your "A"s for now :P

i kept saying SYC instead of SYF today... dunn owad's wrong with me... hahaz

anyways.. today was fruitful... its pretty scary to think that our national standard is around the HIGH international standard....................... yea..... scary.... it means like as it is a large majority of our choirs can go places internationally..... lol... which bring me to.... AIYOH! the world choral industry puts our choirs to such HIGH regard... and what kind of support we get from our government?? so much for trying to build an arts hub -.- seriously... you're looking in the wrong direction man.....

and well... hahaz... i still think some of us are just mean lah.... say JJCC until like that.... and wad i heard from the audience was pretty mean too... wad "it was a noble attempt" -.-'''

ok... so i'm biased... hahaz... i've walked through their road loh.... you go to a choir that is unable to retain members (which in turn is almost 99% linked to poor support from school) and then the conductor of the choir is not all that experienced or good or knowledgable in these areas.... yea....
hahaz... my first impression of SPC was like that too hahaz... though of course we were slightly better off where we had intake from a supposingly very good secondary school choir (farfield.. hope i spelled rite hahaz)

and it took ALOT to break free from what i said above... and i was extremely lucky... had a bro who was a relatively better singer than most people... had a cousin who's in a rather established (now separated) a-capella group, had piano backing, got to know people who had sum proper choral experience, had parade commander training (someone told me about how she learned support her singing lessons and that its the same thing with shouting...) yea... so i had alot of backing... PLUS i entered the choir with the mindset to bring it to do and achieve more than what my brother did (which was to go to some international compeitiion)... i mean.... how many people who can't sing (YET!!!) will go to a choir with that kind of mindset lah.. hahaz...

erm.. yea.. hahaz.. after listening to the dialogue session i finally understood y i could bluff through my piano examinations hahaz... coz my bare minimum was to at least show the examiner i noe what the song wants to convey and try to tell that story... hahaz.... XD
